The most important factor that contributes to your success as a coach, consultant, speaker, or author is to be really good at what you do! It's all about being REALLY SKILLED at what you offer!
But when you're first starting out, you may not be that great! You may not own that high-level skill. It doesn't matter! I didn't have that high-level skill when I first started out. Twenty-something years ago when I wrote my very first book with the help of my brother, It was a flop! We failed badly and we lost a lot of money. But we had this vision, we wanted to be successful in this field; and we persevered. We got better and better and better, and after six years we made it, and the book became a best-seller and it's been history ever since. I've sold more than three million copies of my different books worldwide, and I've written multiple best-selling books international best-sellers ever since, and not only that, I'm actually helping my clients write and publish their books right now.
Another example: speaking! You might not know, but I'm an introverted guy. I really find it hard to speak in front of people. At least I was so when I first started out. My very first public course that I announced to the public, I had only ONE person sign up for it! But over the years, I got better and better and I persevered. And now I've shared the stage with international legends like Robert Kiyosaki, Brian Tracy and Jack Canfield. Most recently. I threw an online event where more than eight thousand people signed up internationally.
So, it’s all about perseverance! It's all about getting better and you don't necessarily have to be great when you first start out.
So, close your ears to naysayers. Be patient and schedule skill development. You can do it!
