To-Do Lists Are NOT Enough

Today my friends, I'm going to talk about a very important concept in time management

And that is: "Starting your day with your highest priority tasks"

So, as you probably know, one of the best ways to manage your time, if you're a busy person, is to have a To-Do list. A To-Do list is a list of items and tasks that you want to take care of during the day.

But having a To-Do list is NOT enough. If you want to take your performance to the next level, you need to prioritize your list, and start your work day with your highest priority tasks.

What usually happens is that we have a To-Do list, and then we start our day with the smaller, not very important tasks, and our time, our energy, our focus gets eaten up by those small tasks, and then, at the end of the day, we find ourselves with a bunch of more important tasks. Bigger ones that get carried over from one day to the next, to the next, to the next.

So, think about the HIGHEST priority tasks on your list. The ones that are needle movers. The ones that really raise your performance to the next level, and make sure, when you have a To-Do list, you start your days with those highest priority tasks first thing in the morning.
